Σήμερα ανακάλυψα ένα πρόβλημα, ή μάλλον, την πηγή για μερικά από τα προβλήματά μου. Το θέμα (issue) είναι πως τα τελευταία 15 χρόνια, όποτε βρίσκομαι σε μία συζήτηση, πάντα απασχολώ το μυαλό μου και με κάτι άλλο την ίδια ακριβώς στιγμή (in the background). Με μία σκέψη, μία δουλειά που έχω να κάνω, μία άλλη συζήτηση. Ο λόγος είναι κυρίως ότι συνήθως βρίσκω τις συζητήσεις πολύ πολύ αργές και κατά μία ένοια "βαριέμαι" να περιμένω να τελειώσει η πρόταση όταν ξέρω τι θα πουν. Μερικές φορές με έχουν παρεξηγήσει και ως ανάγωγο γι' αυτή μου τη συνήθεια.

Και όλα οκ όταν αυτά γίνονται στα Ελληνικά. Εκεί η κατάσταση γενικά παλεύεται. Στα Αγγλικά όμως; Τον τελευταίο καιρό παρατηρώ πως είμαι πολύ αφηρημένος. Όχι όμως επειδή με απασχολεί κάτι συγκεκριμένο. Γενικά χάνω την συγκέντρωσή μου πολύ εύκολα όταν είμαι σε συζητήσεις και μερικές φορές παλεύω για να τα βγάλω πέρα και να ακολουθήσω αυτά που έχασα. Κι αυτό γιατί ότι περιγράφω παραπάνω συμβαίνει πλέον με:

1) Μία συζήτηση στα Αγγλκά.
2) Μία εσωτερική σκέψη/συζήτηση στα Ελληνικά. 

Και χάνω το focus. Φαντάζομαι πως (eventually) κάποια στιγμή φτάνεις στο επίπεδο όπου ή μία από τις δύο γλώσσες κυριαρχούν (dominate) στο μπροστά μέρος του λεκτικού μέρους του εγκεφάλου σου και τότε η εσωτερική σκέψη/συζήτηση γίνεται και αυτή στα Αγγλικά. Αλλά μέχρι τώρα απλώς ρωτάω: Can you repeat please?

Ανώνυμε θενκς για τα τραγουδάκια του Bowie. Και πάντα είχα στο μυαλό μου ότι ο Bowie ήταν φίλλα προσκείμενος - και κατά έναν τρόπο "εκφραστής" - του γκέι κόσμου της δεκαετίας του '70 και του '80. Ίσως λίγο από τις εμφανίσεις του στα performances, από την όψη του και το λάγνο βλέμμα στα video clip. Κάπου όμως στη μέση είναι η αλήθεια (Wiki):

Bowie outed himself in an interview with Melody Maker in January 1972, a move coinciding with the first shots in his campaign for stardom as Ziggy Stardust.[23] In a 1976 interview withPlayboy, Bowie said: "It's true - I am a bisexual. But I can't deny that I've used that fact very well. I suppose it's the best thing that ever happened to me." He distanced himself from that in a 1983 interview with Rolling Stone, saying his earlier declaration of bisexuality was "the biggest mistake I ever made".[65]

In 1993, he made the claim that he had always been a "closet heterosexual", and that his interest in homosexual and bisexual culture was more a product of the times and situation than his own feelings. Bowie stated, "It wasn't something I was comfortable with at all."[66]

Bowie expressed a different view in a 2002 interview with Blender; where he was posed with this question: "You once said that saying you were bisexual was “the biggest mistake I ever made.” Do you still believe that?" His response:

Interesting. [Long pause] I don’t think it was a mistake in Europe, but it was a lot tougher in America. I had no problem with people knowing I was bisexual. But I had no inclination to hold any banners or be a representative of any group of people. I knew what I wanted to be, which was a songwriter and a performer, and I felt that [bisexuality] became my headline over here for so long. America is a very puritanical place, and I think it stood in the way of so much I wanted to do.[67]
